My children love to watch new shows and movies of all kinds and these movies were no exception to that. As soon as I received them they watched to watch them. I waited until everyone was together and we all sat down as a family and watched together. I received 4 different children DVD’s; Bo on the Go, Animal Mechanicals, Baby Class: Little Lessons and `Monster Math Squad. What I liked most of the episodes in the series that they are short which is perfect for small attention spans of littler ones. Below is a preview summary of each DVD:
Monster Math Squad:
Volume 1; 30 Episodes
Average Episode Length: 12 minutes
Total Running Time: 6 hours and 17 minutes
Retail Price: $12.98
Max, Lily and Goo are monsters who use their skills to solve math problems. The Math Squad reaches math skills, shapes, and other skills by relating how these are important in math.
My children really liked this movie a lot especially my older two children who will be entering the 1st and 3rd grade this upcoming school year. I’m guessing the little green guy is Goo he’s kind of cute and shapes himself into many different shapes.
Baby Class: Little Lessons
Total Run Time: 1 hour and 52 minutes
Retail Price $9.98
Baby Class is designed for pre-school aged children 18 months to 4 years old. Baby Class provides a unique selection of cuddly characters that give little lessons designed to stimulate young minds. Children learn the benefits of friendship from Fred and Fiona and Sammy and Eve and they are eager for exploration. Encouraging creative thinking with art and music and a baby kangaroo named Joey is there to hop along with your children as they learn. In this DVD they teach basic vocabulary, shapes, and numbers, relativity concepts, thinking and observation skills, encourages basic coordination, reasoning and logic as well as object identification and labeling.
I have two children within that range and they both loved this movie. Even my oldest really wanted to watch this movie. I did not have the chance to watch this movie because my eager children cracked the disk. Although reading about it it does seem like it would be very educational for young minds and teach toddlers skills to get pre-school (or kindergarten) ready. I think I will be re-purchasing this movie to watch it with my little ones and teach them important school skills.
Volume 1; 33 episodes
Total Running Time: 6 hours 18 minutes
Retail Price: $12.98
The Animal Mechanical consists of five friends; Rex, Sasquatch, Mouse, Unicorn, and Komodo. These animals have a mission in each episode and are fun, colorful and friendly in each music-filled episodes. Each mechanical serves as a special function to the team
Rex – Rex is great at digging there’s nothing he can dig up!
Unicorn – Unicorn is wonderful at flying she is there when you need her in a high spot.
Sasquatch – He’s super stretchy!
Mouse – Mouse is super fast he’ll be back in a flash!

What I love about the Animal Mechanical is that they teach children about working as a team. The Mechanicals also promote creative thinking, problem-solving and other important skills for children to learn.
